Fun Faces

Who could resist these cute pictures? I have been dying to post them on here for months. I hope that you enjoy these as much as I do!

P.S. I found that the Bratz cut- outs were the most popular and the funniest. Do you not agree?

This Cutie of Mine

Ever since that day in May, 2010, when that little kitten was first given her name, she has always been special, especially to me. She loves to read with me, lick up the water from the tub, and sleep on our bed. Here are some pictures of Charlie.

I love you Charlie. Thank you for being with me during those times when I needed someone there when I was reading my books or wanting extra warmth. I love you.

The Best Things

Ugh.......... was my last post really 3 weeks ago? It's hard to keep up, what with everything that goes on around here. So, here goes the tragic story of the day. This morning we were awakened to say good-bye to our beloved Auntie Ginny and the rest of the Idaho-bound crew. I could not stop crying, despite my attempts not to. Why did she have to go? I asked myself. Why? We gathered on the stairs to say good-bye and remained there at least ten minutes after, crying about our loss. I somehow got through the rest of the day. But all the while, I kept thinking about Auntie Ginny, in the truck, in Idaho, saying Hi to the rest of her neices and nephews. I finally broke after we left our friends the Anderson's house when I realized that when we went home, there would be no Auntie Ginny doing laundry, reading her newest book, or watching her football game. I always hate the letdown I feel when a big event that I have planned for, or when the day is over and it's time to go to bed. Thinking about her doubled the pain and made it even worse. I've always said that I am more of a night person, but now that I think about it, the nighttime is when I feel the letdown or am feeling particulary sad. Why did this always happen to me? I always get so used to living life with a person that when they're not with me anymore I just don't think it will be remotely possible to recover and adjust. How could it be reality? As all these things were running through my mind, I suddenly remembered a sentence from my all- time favorite series, Percy Jackson and thought to put it on here. In it, Percy himself says , ' I am convinced that the worst things happen to the best people.' Meaning, his mother, whose parents had died in a plane crash when she was little and when she had married an abusive man. As I thought about that, I started to feel a little better. I still miss my Davis family like heck, though. And that doesn't mean I won't still miss massaging my Aunties and hearing their laughter, either. But it does mean that I can try to adjust to this change with the help of many e-mails , phone calls, letters, and Skype sessions. Hint, hint. Love you all the Aunties, Uncles, Grandmothers, Grandfathers, and Cousins out there in Idaho.

It's begun!

Yes, yes, I know, I have not posted for a very long time, informed by a loving, caring grandmother. I have decided to start with today. Malia and I have started a volleyball program down in Pleasant Grove. Our first game is today, and I'm nervous! We are doing exactly what our Daddy would have wanted us to do, I know that for sure. Wish us luck, I'll try to get pictures!!!!!!

Lounge Day

Tuesday was pretty much a lounge day. We hung around, played our didjs, listened to ipods, watched movies, and then went to the movies, where we saw How to Train Your Dragon. We then took orders from everyone and bought Subway. (It's good and extremely healthy) After that, we went back to Aunt Cassie's house. After Lose and Eli had eaten their dinner and gotten awesome treats from Aunt Lizzy, they headed to grandmother's for a special night. Malia and I stayed and ate our treats, then went to bed. To Be Continued.......

If you want to know what the treat was, comment and I will tell you on my next post.

Travel Day

I'm terribly sorry I haven't posted in a while. So, I will be posting a lot. So! Travel Day, otherwise known as Day 2 of our trip, started with doing chores at 4 in the morning so that the house wouldn't stink. My job was the trash. Ugh! Then, we loaded up our things and started on the road. Then, much to my unpleasure, we started a silence time period. It was hard to sleep, if you know what I mean, because we were moving and did not have neck pillows. The talking ban was lifted half an hour early at 7:00. We all talked for a half hour and then had a much-loved breakfast of bagels and cream cheese. After a pit stop, we started sticker books. For those who don't know what those are, they are books that have a story theme and have three girls who you put sticker clothes on. After that, we passed out dry cereal bags of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Froot Loops. Next, we watched Hook, then had lunch and naptime, in which I managed to escape sleeping too long. We did sticker books again and had lots of snacks. We then reached my grandmother's work and said hi. Next, we went to my Aunt Cassie's house. (Auntie Lizzy and her daughter were there too.) We gave them presents and then I tried to see how many plastic balls would fit in my pants. 35, I think. After that, we took showers and baths and had family home evening. After that, all us sisters had to sleep in one room. Chaos! To Be Continued......

The Trip

You've been waiting for this all week, and now I give to you..... my wonderful description of the trip! Now, if you've read my mom's previous blog, you will know how this will work. If you haven't... that's okay, 'cause I'm gonna explain now. I'm gonna do this whole trip post day by day, just so it won't be a really long post. All right! It was a very exciting Sunday, after a hard-to-sit-still conference session (the last one) we started to pack immediately. It took all the way until the time auntie ginny got home. ( Which was around 9:30 or so) We were looking for our neck pillows, which we never actually found. Hmm...... Anyway, we did find my special blankie, which my grandma maile made for me when I was a baby. Backstory, the last time I had seen it had been the day I had gotten the news dad had died, then it had been stored away, and I hadn't seen it since then. It was a joyful reunion. Then, sadly, we two big girls had to go to bed, and oh, it was hard. I didn't go to sleep until about... hmm.... I'm guessing around 10:30. I then woke up at about 3:53, and kept trying to make myself go to bed until mom came in at 4:00, our wake-up call. To Be Continued......

Spring Break,part two

Yep, it's part two folks! I posted about spring break 3 days ago and want to share my feelings now. We took a baby step towards packing today and got together our didjs and ipods and headphones. I'm so excited! I'm so close! Only a day stands in our way of Idaho!!! Auntie Ginny will be getting back late at night tomorrow from Boston (visiting friends) I miss having her here so much! I hope she sees my surprise when she gets home which I can't say because she might be reading this...... I have found that my excitement has gone down to go, which is good, because I might die right now if I had the excitement I had on Wed. This is a little off subject, but I keep thinking that it's Sunday! Well, actually I think this is on topic because I think that partially I am thinking this because I am still pretty excited. That's good, because I would be sad to think that I just completely lost my excitement. The stickerbooks have arrived! I'm so happy because mine looks fun. The whole trip will be fun. There will be bagels with cream cheese for breakfast..... Our family's newfound love thanks to the Jordans. I want to go already!!!! Just so you know, I will most likely be posting tomorrow because I am either excited or having a really hard time sitting still for general conference... speaking of which, I am having a really, really hard time sitting still!!! It's so hard.... I'll just have to work on that. Wish me luck waiting, it'll probably be super duper hard...... Line

Spring Break

This next week will be spring break. I am very excited because we have two extra days, making our spring break a total of a whole week long!!!!!!! Now, this isn't just a whole week I get to spend out of school. This is a whole week I get to spend out of school in Idaho!!!!!!! We'll be doing our usual road trip through Utah, then Idaho, Wyoming, then Idaho again. But the part about this that makes it a non-ordinary-road-trip-to-Idaho is...... ( drumroll) Auntie Ginny is coming with us!!!! For those that don't know her, she is my mom's sister who is living with us currently. ( I am absolutely, totally loving it, by the way) So, I am going to sit in the backseat on the way there and in the middle seat on the way back. We are leaving early, at 3 or 4, for those who really have to know. We get sticker books to play with on the way there, which is really exciting, because two of my sisters have had their own, and I have not. There are all kinds....... princesses, which I will have, fairies, which Lose will have, bridesmaids for Eli, On Vacation for Malia and Dolls for Eva. There are many more, but I have forgotten them. I'm so excited to go!!! We're going to get our hair cut, see cousins, and stay with family. I'm so excited! But it seems that the week is going very slowly. I wish that it was going as fast as last week, where Sunday came quick. But, I guess it is going medium pace, because it's Wednesday (Now, because I might post this later) and so there are 1, 2, 3, 4 days until we leave. I want to leave already!!!!!!!!!!! But, I will have fun tomorrow because I'm going to my cousins' house and am showing my dance costume to my teacher. ( It's super cute!!!!!) Then, on Friday, I'm doing all my homework so I won't have to do it on spring break. Saturday, same. Sunday, I can't do any homework because we want to keep the Sabbath Day holy and not do normal things. Then, finally, I get to leave. So, I guess it is closer than I think..... I only have a couple days to have fun, do homework, and then pack. I just want to publish this post, get homework done for the day, go to sleep, sleep like a rock, wake up, then let the day flow. Then the next, then the next, and so on. But I know it won't happen because I'm excited. Well, wish me luck!!!!! Love, Line
